My daughter absolutely loved this camp and Skylar Bossen is such an amazing camp coordinator. We will definitely be returning.

We've been testing out several summer camps around the N. Austin area and I have to say, Neuron Garage (Avery Ranch location) has been the absolute best. Hands down. My kiddo has had some challenges with socialization, but he's blossomed & become the confident kid he once was. The camp director, Robin, and their staff are so caring and fun. They even share great tips on mindset growth via email with parents. We're a little sad this is the last week, but we'll be back next summer. We can't wait! Big thanks to this awesome team!

My 7yo daughter just finished her first week of Neuron Garage at the LeafSpring School location and she had a great time! She said, in this review, I should write, "It was AWESOME! Two thumbs up!" It seemed very well organized, the facility was super cool, and the I would definitely recommend!

Our sons, then entering 3rd & 5th grades, attended for 6 weeks last summer and LOVED every minute. The downtown location is itself a school, so it's well equipped for activities; and each weekly session has a theme. My kids came home with bridges, egg-holders, castles...and tales of how the egg-cradle didn't let the egg break, from off the roof! Pickup/dropoff easy; Times are good for working parents with after-care onsite as well.
We're going back this year and bringing cousins with us!

Neuron Garage (Cameron Road location) may incorporate a couple of Growth Mindset concepts or terms that they throw into emails to impress parents, but their behavior plan is antiquated and certainly NOT part of their Growth Mindset concepts. They appear to have a 3-strikes-you're-out policy, for which they kicked my son out on Day 5 for hitting or pushing when he was frustrated. Sure they talked to him and told him not to do it again, but they certainly didn't work with him or try to otherwise mitigate his frustration or the chance of more incidents. They called us to pick him up every day after a single "incident," and didn't even tell him when he was kicked out. Kendra did not return phone calls after he was kicked out, nor did they refund any of the money after he attended less than half of the camp. They really should update their behavior policies if they are going to call themselves a Growth Mindset establishment. The only thing my son learned from Neuron Garage is that adults are very quick to give up on him.

My son was 7 last summer and attended "Spark Camp" (as he calls it) for four weeks total. Our plan had been for his grandmother to watch him for the summer, but it turned out she was going to need surgery. We couldn't believe our luck in finding such a high-quality summer camp experience. He attends a Montessori school during the year, so we were so happy to have his camp experience be a compatible style. We felt comfortable that Kaylie and any other teachers would create a community for positive social interaction as well as intellectual development, so we wouldn't lose ground on grace and courtesy during the summer.
Our son was 100% thrilled with his experience and so sad when it was over. He still has a shelf in his room with all his treasured creations from camp. He's looking forward to attending again this summer!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Renee H.Rosedale, LA020Mar 5, 2020
My kids are big fans of Neuron Garage; I'm about to sign them up for their 4th year! My boys (now 10 and 8) have loved every summer. The genius of the camp is that as my sons grow and change, what they get out of the weekly challenges at Neuron Garage matches their interests and abilities. Excited to see what they design and learn this summer!

My son absolutely loved this camp so much so that we ended up canceling all of his other camps and signing him for Summer Spark. Just to be clear, that is a huge accomplishment. My 7-year-old has high expectations and Kaylie and her team exceeded them all. Kaylie has a team of encouraging, caring and professional educators that not only taught my son to execute creative, science-based ideas, they taught him how to play chess. If you have a curious child that thrives in creative environments(who doesn't?!), this camp is for your child.

Innovative and progressive, my now 6 year old, then 5 year old benefited greatly from Summer Sparks! He loved solving challenges through collaboration and exploration. The camp is pretty top notch in terms of quality, and you can tell that the owners are pretty passionate about their mission purpose of creating a special experience for the kids. We highly recommend it! Be prepared, your trash will turn into treasures!

An amazing program! My 6 year old son loved it. Wish we had scheduled more. Program was inspiring, challenging ... what a confidence booster. I may have an aspiring engineer.
